NBA Basketball: WASHINGTON WIZARDS at GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (12/18)

PRO BASKETBALL — December 18

WASHINGTON at GOLDEN STATE
(Warriors -3, Total 221.5) — [private] The Wizards can’t seem to buy a cover, at least on anything resembling a consistent basis. Unbelievably, they have been a road favorite the last two times out, and that didn’t so in close losses to the Clippers and Kings. Golden State is pretty banged up, and defenseless on most occasions (allowing 49% shooting). The home team won by double digits in each of the two meetings last season, but that doesn’t tell us a whole lot. The atmosphere around the Warriors is unhealthy in a number of ways, to the guys like Anthony Randolph who are being shopped around for a trade to the injuries to Ronny Turiaf, Andris Biedrins and Mikki Moore, which means they can’t compete underneath, even with a smallish team like Washington.

THE PLAY: WASHINGTON +3 **
